DISCIPLINE AND CONDUCT
- Students are not allowed to speak other than English in the school premises.
- Students not obeying the rules are liable to be punished.
- The aim of the school is to give its pupils a sound moral education while giving special attention to their intellectual development. The authorities strive to inculcate in the pupils a culture that is characterized by thoughtfulness.
- Parents are earnestly requested to see that their children attend school regularly and punctually. They are asked to co-operate with the work of the school by enforcing regularity and discipline and by taking a general interest in the children’s progress. They should check the Diary regularly and note the teacher’s remarks. Absence from school in order to study is not appreciated.
- Irregular attendance, habitual idleness, disobedience of conduct are injurious to the general tone of the school are sufficient reasons for the dismissal of the pupil.
- Pupils who have been absent from class must have the reason entered in this Diary Regularity Record, stating briefly the cause of the absence or late attendance by their Parent/Guardian. Candidates whose attendance is below 75% of the working days are ordinarily not eligible to sit for the Annual Examination.
- No Pupil may leave the school premises during school hours without the permission of the Principal/Vice-Principal.
- No books, periodicals, pictures, newspapers or any other reading matter beyond prescribed book-list shall be brought into the school without the permission of the Principal.
- Pupils are responsible for the safe custody of their books and belongings. School will not be responsible for the pupil’s belongings.
- Pupil must not damage the property of the school. Any damage done will be repaired at the cost of the offender.
- Parents and Guardians are not allowed to see their children or interact with teachers during school hours, without the permission of the Principal. The members of the staff may not leave the class room during the teaching period.
- Pupils are expected to behave well on all occasions. They should address their teachers and all members of the staff with due respect and politeness. They must show gentleness and courtesy to their companions. Self discipline should distinguish every pupil of Central Modern School.
- Enrolment in Central Modern School implies, on the part of the pupil and parent, willingness to comply with the requirements and regulation of the school.
- All correspondence from parents must have the child’s full name, class and section.
- Unless specially requested, no pupil should bring any money to school.
- The administration has the right to suspend attendance or require the withdrawal of any pupil without having to assign any reason provided that he is satisfied that such a step is necessary in the interest of school.
- Under no circumstances should parents send any child to school if she/he is unwell. She/he will not be allowed to attend any class however important it may be, or sit for any test, but will be sent back home. This double trouble can be avoided if the child, when unwell, is not sent to school. Half day leave is not allowed.
- Parents are requested not to write any remarks or message in the Progress Report Books or on Diary. If they want to make any enquiries about a child, they can do so by corresponding with the Principal or meeting him in person.
- Regular attendance is essential for every student. The percentage of attendance will be taken into consideration while granting promotion or awarding prizes.
- No child having once come to the school, will be allowed to leave during school hours except in the case of extreme necessity.
- Any child suffering any infectious disease is not expected to attend school till the doctor certifies he / she is cured .
- The name of those pupils absent without sanctioned leaved for one month or more will be struck off the roll. Re-admission not guaranteed.
- We are committed to serving our Parents / Guardians with both courtesy and respect and expect them also to reciprocate the same.
- We shall be constrained not to serve those Parents / Guardians who use offensive language or behave in an aggressive manner or are in informal dress.
